In a post written on Facebook by BCA operations co-ordinator Greg Wakeling, it states the league acted on feedback from its member clubs.
"Senior BCA clubs were given the option to vote on playing all cricket, just firsts to thirds or none," the post read.
"13 clubs voted none. Five voted for firsts to thirds only. One voted for all (that club has only two teams).
"All except one club identified the inability to field teams across the long weekend for many reasons.
"Yes, there are people out there willing to play, and some are actually playing practice/scratch matches, but to push on with those numbers would be negligent and arguably completely against the wishes of our clubs."
