Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced on Sunday non-contact indoor sport for people 18 years and under can recommence in regional Victoria. He said it would pertain to sports capable of achieving 1.5 metres of social distancing.
This means sports such as badminton, gymnastics and squash will get the green light to restart, however limits on spectators would be put in place.
Indoor gyms and fitness spaces will also open for up to 20 people with a maximum of 10 people per space with a density of one person per eight square metres. Indoor pools will open for up to 20 people as well.
Andrews initially announced indoor non-contact sport would recommence from November 1 however the date has been brought forward.
