BFNL general manager Shane Anwyl said the plan was to get all clubs together to discuss all aspects of the senior, junior and youth girls competitions.
He said the league was open to all options.
Anwyl said interest had already been shown in BFLWomens from clubs outside the immediate Ballarat region.
The BFNL launched the BFLW earlier this month,
The AFL Goldfields previously oversaw the female competitions, covering the BFNL, Central Highlands, Maryborough Castlemaine District and Riddell District leagues.
