At the Creswick Road store, Wendouree's Forest Rangers Soccer Club will be in charge of the sausages on Saturday, while the Rotary Club of Ballarat will take over on Sunday.
In Delacombe, the Scarsdale Men's Shed and Sebastopol Lions Club will have the honour of manning the barbecues.
In a year that has seen so much generosity from Australians, supporting victims from bushfires across the country then enduring the pandemic, any opportunity for charities, community groups, and sports clubs to make some money and get back on their feet makes a difference.
Rotary Club committee member Ian Moyle said on a good day at the hardware store, the club could make "a couple of thousand dollars", with any leftover food donated to the Soup Bus.
"(Bunnings) provide us with the marquee, barbecue, washup bit, they can't do enough for you," he said.
"There's strict rules for COVID this time around, that's fair enough, and we appreciate the opportunity to go out and do some more community service.
IN THE NEWS
"I think the Australian spirit is very resilient, and I don't think we'll notice much change even though people have been doing it tough - they always seem to help others before themselves."
This year, the Rotary Club's big fundraisers have been cancelled, postponed, or adapted - SpringFest won't have the usual parade of stalls around the lake, for example.
Any money raised will help local causes, like Centacare's emergency accommodation and schools, with some going to bigger funds to help national projects, including around mental health support.
