Ballarat-Redan submitted a dominant performance to thrash grand finalist Golden Point by 128 runs in the Ballarat Cricket Association firsts on Saturday.

The Two Swords, 8-195, dismissed Golden Point for 67 runs in a one day clash at Alfredton Turf. The win broke a three-game losing streak for the club, which has played last season's top three teams in successive weeks.

"We knew it would come together and it was just an important win," Two Swords captain Chris Egan said following the match.
"Hopefully it's a season-defining game and we can get on a bit of a role before Christmas."
A steady start aided the Two Swords, who stood at 2-98 midway through the first innings. Opener Jack Riding set the tone, scoring 60 runs in what was his final game in the BCA this season.
Matt Sandford, 45, kept the scoreboard ticking over, while a knock of 31 from Jayden Hayes propped up the middle order.
Wickets fell cheaply from the outset for Point, who stood at 3-23 at the start of the second innings. Lachlan Herring dug in briefly before he was bowled by Daniel Bone on 24.
Two Swords teenager Ryan Aikman (14 runs) provided a highlight when he stumped Tom McKenzie, then paceman Nathan Patrikeos tore through the Golden Point's tail-end.
Patrikeos' eye-popping bowling figures of 4-2 led the attack for Ballarat-Redan. He was backed up by Zac Jenkins, who claimed 2-5.
"I thought our bowlers have been good the last couple of weeks but we'd dropped a couple that hurt, so to take every one today was superb," Egan said.
Meanwhile Wendouree's Sam Miller smashed a century to lead the Red Caps over Brown Hill.
Miller's knock of 110 led the run chase for the Red Caps, who caught Brown Hill's first innings score of 9-197. He was backed up at the crease by Heath Pyke, 24, while Tristan Maple led the way with the ball, finishing with figures of 2-21.
Elsewhere, Englishman Lewis Hodgins scored 80 runs to lead East Ballarat to a six-wicket win over Buninyong.
Mt Clear's Darren Fletcher claimed six wickets in his club's victory over Napoleons-Sebastopol, while Darley was too good for North Ballarat.
