Australian Wind Services donated $650 to the school for a grade six celebration, and on Friday the nine senior students will enjoy a celebration day at Laser Force, a pizza lunch then a visit to Xtreme Bounce for an afternoon of action.
"The wind farm donates to different community causes and their donation just happened to be at the same time we were looking at working out celebrations for our grade six students," said principal Kane Tolliday.
"They didn't get to have a school camp, there's been no excursions all year and we wanted them to at least have a celebration day."
"It will be a nice celebration to let the students know we really value the contribution they have made to the school and recognition we haven't been able to celebrate the way we normally would," Mr Tolliday said.
With the giant turbines dominating the landscape around the town for more than a decade now, the school also recently received a sizeable donation of just over $13,000 toward their playground fund.
"The Waubra Windfarm Community Fund make a contribution to the school each year and this year was very generous and will go towards the playground," Mr Tolliday said.

The existing playground is so old that the parents of some of the current students played on the same monkey bars their children clamber across now.
"If everything had gone to plan this year the playground would probably be built," Mr Tolliday said.
"It's been a difficult year. Normally the PFA run an Oaks Day event and the school gets a donation from them but that didn't happen, and the school contributes to Rainbow Serpent (festival) and gets a sizeable donation from them as well, but that was cancelled.
"In an small school every donation counts."
