Lisa Jones, 35, and her father Desmond Jones, 66, have been charged over the incident which occurred on June 29, 2019.
The Ballarat Magistrates' Court was told on Wednesday police received a recovery order to remove a teenager from the Jones' address.
Police arrived and Desmond Jones allegedly became aggressive at the front door, telling police they would not be taking the child and shut the door.
Desmond Jones allegedly did not let the police inside a second time, but on the third occasion, a police member used their foot to stop the door from closing and they entered the house.
The court was told Lisa Jones walked down the hallway allegedly telling police to get out. The officer walked towards the kitchen to locate the child and calm Lisa Jones but she allegedly lunged at them.
Lisa Jones is accused of telling a female police officer to f*** off before striking her to the cheekbone, pulling her hair and knocking off her cap.
As she was restrained on the floor she allegedly kicked two police members in the leg area.
The court was told the child walked into the area towards one of the police members, who picked him up and took him outside.
The boy was taken to the Ballarat Police Station where his father later collected him.
Defence lawyer Jon Irwin said his clients were contesting the reason why the police were at their address.
"The police should not have been there. Lisa Jones collected (the child) from school. Desmond Jones is adamant the police should not have been there and he stood his ground," Mr Irwin said.
The court was told the recovery order was made out of Melbourne and it involved the Australian Federal Police.
A contested hearing was set down for February 16.
