Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute is set to launch on Friday morning the annual Ballarat Cycle Classic for February 21.
This comes in a big calendar month for the city, following confirmation for Ballarat Beer Fest and the later-than-usual AusCycling Road National Championships.
The Classic was one of the last big events for Ballarat before COVID-19 pandemic restrictions took effect in the region. The effort raised $300,000 to fully-launch FECRI's new breast cancer program in March.

FECRI has confirmed there will be virtual elements to next year's Classic, while a return to popular road cycling, mountain biking, running and walking events with a few new features from the event's base at Lake Wendouree.
Events will include the second annual SPUD100, a 100-mile (160-kilometre) ride in memory of long-time FECRI ambassador and AFL great Danny Frawley, who grew up in Bungaree.
