Amoore recorded 19 points on seven of 11 made field goals to lead all scorers in a 85-64 win over Richmond on Friday. It was the first time the Ballarat native had played an organised match since playing in a three-on-three game in August 2019.
"It's always scary going into the first game, but I think overall it went really well," Amoore told media after the match.
"I was so hesitant (in the first half), and the mistakes I was making were because I was trying to play perfect. And once I get in my rhythm and just play, it just comes."

Starting the game for Hokies, Amoore sizzled after a slow start, draining four three pointers and handing out four assists. She thrived playing against Richmond's zone defence as the Hokies jumped to a 22-point half time lead.
"I could've had a lot less turnovers or a lot less sticking the ball to one side, but that's also just going to come with chemistry and learning where people want to catch the ball," Amoore said.
Amoore returned to the court on Sunday when the Hokies did battle with the Liberty Flames. Amoore tallied seven points in 19 minutes as the Hokies ran away to a 15-point win.
Virginia Tech are now undefeated after two games and sit in ninth place on the Atlantic Coast Conference ladder.
Amoore signed a four-year scholarship with Virginia Tech in October 2019 following a breakout season with the Ballarat Rush in the NBL1.
After enrolling in January, she sat out the end of last season and lived with a teammate during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I was a little nervous because I had that long period of not playing, but as soon as that ball went up, it just felt natural again," she said.
Amoore will play her next match on Wednesday.
