Karinna Knowles has taken the helm of the Lions' A and B-Grade programs. She replaces former coach Lisa James, who stepped down from the position to spend more time with family.
Redan netball coordinator Sharryn Francis said Knowles looked forward to getting back in the coaching seat after a couple of years off.
"She's passionate about getting back into coaching and she's passionate about the culture we are developing at Redan," Francis said.
Knowles joins the club following a couple of seasons at Learmonth in the Central Highlands Football Netball League. Prior to that, she coached at Creswick.
"She was quite successful in bringing them up the ladder," Francis said.
"Our junior program is running well and she's keen to continue to develop those juniors into senior players."
Knowles was welcomed alongside Ruby Parry, who returned to Redan following a stint with Rokewood. The experienced shooter will work with Knowles to develop the Lions' young core.
"We've got a couple of 19-under girls in the team and recruited quite well before the pandemic and we are hoping to build on that," Francis said.
Francis said just about every player from this year's COVID-suspended season would return in 2021, including VNL talents Ash Smith and Lilly Francis.
Teenagers Mackenzie Nicholson, Mia Litras and Elissa Ridley will also likely rotate through the A-Grade squad.
