FOUR people are expected to undergo police questioning for a string of offences, including aggravated home invasion, after crashing a stolen car in Mount Pleasant early on Sunday morning.

The gold Kia collided with another car after failing to give way at the intersection or Morton and Barkley streets, about 12.25am.
Three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries from the incident, including a 19-year-old woman from the Kia who was airlifted to hospital after being trapped for a prolonged time in the vehicle.
Police had attempted to intercept the Kia moments before the crash but a Victoria Police spokesperson said the driver failed to stop and sped off down Hill Street into Barkly Street.
The car has been linked to serious offending in Ballarat the past week.

A 21-year-old man from the Kia was arrested at the scene. The 20-year-old male driver of the Kia ran from the scene but was arrested a short time later after police had cordoned off the area. He is assisting police with their enquiries.
A 27-year-old woman from the car was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police are expected to interview all occupants in the Kia in relation to aggravated home invasion, car-jacking, theft of motor vehicle and other related offences.
Meanwhile, the male driver from the other car involved in the crash was also taken to hospital with serious injuries. He had been trapped in his car, with emergency services working to free him, after the incident.
It was unclear which hospital those injured in the crash were taken to for further assessment.
