Club president Steve Biggin confirmed on Monday that the permission had been given to increase crowd capacity by 500 under strict COVID-19 restrictions for Friday.
He said the initial 1000 had almost been sold out so it was pleasing to be able to allow more general public to attend.
Biggin emphasised that pre-bookings were essential.
He said tickets would not be available at the gate on the day.
Pre-bookings can made via the Country Racing Victoria website.
Members and sponsors will make up about half the crowd, with the general public filling the balance.
Biggin said public areas would be made up of various zones in keeping with COVID-19 protocols, with racegoers not permitted to mix with licensed participants or watch races from right on the outside running rail.
