Wilkins has Celestialfagrance engaged in the $130,000 event.
She first trained in 2017 in her home state of New South Wales, where she had 31 winners, but this is the only horse she has prepared since moving to Ballarat early this year to worth for premier trainer Emma Stewart.
Celestialfagrance won her second start at Stawell in July and has had just four visits to the races - returning from a break to contest the VSS.
She qualified for the final with a fourth in her semi-final at Melton.
Celestialfagrance faces a huge task, with the final featuring the unbeaten Ladies In Red (nine wins), one of 16 starters Stewart has across 12 pacing and trotting group 1 finals.
Rounding off the Cardigan stable's presence, Stewart's partner Clayton Tonkin has three runners in the finals.
