Victoria Police are investigating a collision in Buangor which occurred on Saturday morning, January 2.

A spokesperson said three cars collided on the Western Highway about 11.15am.

"The male driver from one vehicle was taken to hospital for observation," they said.

"There were no other injuries reported."

EARLIER - 1.30pm:

MOTORISTS are experiencing delays on the Western Highway as emergency service crews attend a crash near Buangor.

VicTraffic states there are delays in both directions due to a collision near Colonial Road. Emergency services are on site. Allow extra time.

A motorist travelling on the Western Highway advised the Ballarat Courier traffic was being diverted around the Western Highway.
