Ballarat Cricket Association's under-16 side started the Western Victoria Girls Shield in fine style on Monday.
The representative team scored an opening round win over Geelong in the first of two Twenty20 games in Hamilton, chasing down its rivals' score of 6-89 with five wickets in hand.
Ballarat then hauled in Wimmera's 9-95 with nine wickets up its sleeve to take out game two.
Megan O'Beirne was the star against the Wimmera side with an unbeaten 51.
Meanwhile, a devastating bowling performance saw the Ballarat Cricket Association crush Warrnambool Blue in the opening Twenty20 clash of the under-14 tournament.
The BCA dismissed Warrnambool for just 20 with Sarah Burton taking 3-1.
Ballarat then made 0-128 from 10 overs as Charli McLennan top-scored with an unbeaten 51.
Later in the day Ballarat also thrashed Sunraysia Green, which could only manage 7-36 from its 20 overs.
The BCA then cruised to 1-41 off eight overs.
Play continues on Tuesday and Wednesday.
