The store, Ballarat's original Aldi store, will close on Wednesday, January 20, to begin the next stage of expansion works.
According to a media release, the supermarket will reopen on February 10 when works are complete.

"Many of the improvements have been implemented following extensive store trials and ALDI's state-wide rollout of its modern store design in South and Western Australia," the release states.
"While Aldi Ballarat closes temporarily, shoppers can visit Aldi Alfredton, located at 1611-1615 Sturt Street, Alfredton for all of their grocery needs."
Opening hours will also continue to be 8:30am-8pm Monday to Sunday.
The Creswick Road store was Ballarat's first Aldi store to open, dating back to 2006.
