The Aldi supermarket on Creswick Road is set to close for three weeks. The store, Ballarat's original Aldi store, will close on Wednesday, January 20, to begin the next stage of expansion works. According to a media release, the supermarket will reopen on February 10 when works are complete. IN OTHER NEWS "Many of the improvements have been implemented following extensive store trials and ALDI's state-wide rollout of its modern store design in South and Western Australia," the release states. "While Aldi Ballarat closes temporarily, shoppers can visit Aldi Alfredton, located at 1611-1615 Sturt Street, Alfredton for all of their grocery needs." Opening hours will also continue to be 8:30am-8pm Monday to Sunday. The Creswick Road store was Ballarat's first Aldi store to open, dating back to 2006.
