While police are investigating the Haddon fire, according the CFA, local police confirmed the Millbrook fire involved a stolen car with stolen numberplates.
This followed another daylight rural car fire, with police confirming a car believed to be stolen was destroyed near Springmount on Saturday afternoon.
"Emergency services were called to the intersection of Kingston Road and the Midland Highway about 4pm following reports a car was on fire," a police media spokesperson said in a statement.
"The Ford utility, believed to have been stolen from a Ballarat address overnight, was extensively damaged."
