The Country Fire Authority was called to the fire on Richards Street just after midnight, with two units from Ballarat attending.
They were supported by two appliances from Fire Rescue Victoria at the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters located a car fully involved inside the shed.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 12.30am.

A stop was issued on the incident at 1.24am, however crews remained on scene for some time afterwards to "conduct overhaul and salvage operations".
The fire is not being treated as suspicious. A fire investigator will attend later today to determine the cause of the blaze.
