The volunteer group is hosting its first event at Ballarat Group Training's Barkly Square at the end of this month.
The move adds to the site's reputation as a community hub, with a number of volunteer groups already based there such as Ballarat Wholefoods Collective, Ballarat Toy Library and the new Ballarat Tool Library.
It feels really nice to be able to work on people's special things and save them from falling into disrepair.
- Liz Wade, volunteer repairer
Repair Cafe Ballarat coordinator Sue Jakob said it made sense to run the events at the new sites, creating links with the tool library.
"We will be able to utilise the tools. It is a shared resource which makes so much sense," she said.
"Barkly Square is tenanted by a lot of other like minded organisations, so it is a real community hub."
More than 30 volunteers make up the repair team, with a diverse range of skills from mechanical repairs to sewing.
Ms Jakob said small appliances and electrical items were the most common items brought into the repair cafe to be fixed.
Volunteer repairers saved ninety eight items, weighing 245kg, from landfill through repairs across six events in 2019 before shutdown due to COVID.

Ms Jakob said it was a valued community service.
"A lot of people have been messaging to find out when we will be starting again," she said.
"It was such a shame we had to stop when we did because we had only just started in 2019."
Volunteer repairer Liz Wade said she was passionate about passing on repair skills and helping people realise they can learn to fix their items themselves.
Passing on skills will be more limited with repair cafe's return, as item owners cannot enter the repair room due to COVID-19 restrictions, but will be able to enjoy a cup of tea of coffee in the cafe instead.
Ms Wade said it was personally nourishing and enjoyable to wok on people's items for repair.
"I especially find it is really lovely hearing people's stories about the things they bring in because often they are special items like Sue's blanket here is a family treasure," she said.
"It feels really nice to be able to work on people's special things and save them from falling into disrepair.
"It is good at the end of the day when we can tally up how many things we have fixed together as a team and how much we have saved from going to landfill and celebrate that together."
Repair Cafe Ballarat will be held on the last Saturday of every month from 1pm to 4pm at Barkly Square.
The first event back is scheduled for February 27. Visit repaircafeballarat.com.au/ for more information.
