The schools will play two football games next Tuesday at GMHBA Stadium.

St Patrick's will face St Joseph's in the curtain raiser, the first bounce tipped for 2:00pm.

Loreto will come up against Sacred Heart in the main game which is scheduled for 3:35pm.

The combined scores of the two school's from each city will determine who takes home the Respect Cup.

It is the inaugural fixture between the four schools and the first time they have competed in recognition of International Women's Day.

The concept will become an annual event, with the two cities to take hosting duties every second year.

Loreto College player Lilli Condon told The Courier she can't wait for the opportunity to play on an AFL venue for a good cause.

"It's a really good opportunity especially for the girls as we haven't had a lot of opportunities to play on big grounds like GMHBA, so it's very exciting," she said.

"There's lots of girls getting involved which is really exciting and everyone's getting around it at school which is good."

St Patrick's will wear purple socks for the occasion with their traditional green, white and blue hoops at the top.

St Joseph's will also incorporate purple into their jumper.

St Patrick's College Director of Football Howard Clarke said it's a great privilege to play in the game and begin a new tradition with the Geelong schools.

"It's a wonderful concept. It was a brain child of Mark Kennedy who is the Deputy Headmaster at St Joseph's. To have the commitment from the four schools was instant, so it's a lovely concept," he said.

"For us to be able to support International Women's Day is a really important thing. St Patrick's and also St Joseph's being very iconic boys' schools, for us to be playing the curtain raiser is a really important symbol of how important the day will become."

Loreto coach Matt Flight echoed Clarke's sentiment saying it's great to be a part of the inaugural staging of the day.

"It's a great experience and to be an all-girls' school part of that event, I was pretty excited by it. Really looking forward to being able to be a part of it and the girls certainly are as well," he said.
