A selection committee was put together by the BDBD to review years of results and achievements in order to select the appropriate players.
Beth Huntley, Jenny Harman and Elizabeth Kierce were tasked with selecting the top female bowlers.
Barry Clark, Scott Roberts and Tom Clark headed the panel chosen to select the top male bowlers.
Jenny Harman and Brett Mahoney took out the top honours.
Harman has done it all so far in her career.
She is a three time BDBD champion of champions singles winner, an over 60s pairs winner four times, BDBD singles and triples winner twice (runner up in the state once), over 60s singles champion four times (state champion once), BDBD pairs once and is a shield and regional team player.
Mahoney has taken all in his path in the last decade, winning the BDBD champion of champions, singles, pairs, triples, fours and under-25s.
He has advanced to now playing Victoria state bowls.
Elizabeth Kierce and Rob Baker were picked as the second best female and male bowlers.
Kierce is a BDBD champion of champions runner-up, a novice singles winner, BDBD fours, singles and triples winner twice each (runner up in the state once), over 60s pairs and singles winner and a shield and regional player.
Baker has claimed a BDBD champion of champions title, a singles crown six times, pairs twice, fours once and is one of the top pennant bowlers.
Joy Adams was awarded the third best female bowler.
She is a BDBD fours and pairs winner twice, a triples winner once, has claimed the over 60s pairs and is a shield and regional player.
Barry Clark claimed bronze for the men's field.
He is a BDBD pairs winner, over 60s pairs winner three times and has won two premierships in the premier league as a skipper and is a top group skipper.
Beth Huntley just missed out on a podium but claimed fourth best female bowler.
She is a BDBD fours winner, a pairs champion of champions winner twice (state champion once), has claimed an over 60s pairs title and is a shield and regional player.
Scott Roberts finished fourth in the men's.
He is a BDBD champion of champions, a singles, pairs and triples winner and is a Victoria state reserves player.
Marie Russell rounded out the top five in the women's category.
She is a two time champion of champions singles winner, a BDBD singles winner, has claimed the over 60s pairs and is a shield and regional player.
Cal Johnson was rewarded with fifth in the men's.
He is a BDBD singles, pairs and fours winner, a champion of champions, has won Victoria state events and is a top group bowler.
Lyn Maple, Michelle Tait, Sandy Grano, Rhonda Armstrong and Jenny Shepherd rounded out the top 10 of the top women's bowlers in the last decade.
The group have all been shield players and four out of the five have played at the regional level.
On the men's side, Ian Warner, Greg Brown, Aaron Wood, Wes Lennecke and Shaun Clark rounded out the top 10. The group consists of premier league skippers, premiership winners and some of the top pennant players.
