The BDBD representative kept this lead for the next six ends and was in command of the game.
With the score at 15-8, Grano trailed the kitty with her first bowl to set up the end and score another shot to take a 16-8 lead.
Down on the end Holmes took the kitty into the ditch, scoring one to take her tally to nine.
Not to be outdone and down four shots, Sandy put in a perfect bowl to take the end by one shot.
Holmes settled in and began narrowing the lead. With her opposition in front by eight shots, Holmes wicked off a bowl and finished near the kitty to take the end by two shots, narrowing the deficit to six.
She again took the next end by one. With the end in sight Grano came back to claim a six shot lead.
Needing two more shots to claim the win Grano tickled the kitty to her opponent's bowl giving her the end.
It took three more ends for Grano to reach her target and claim the champion of champions regional title.
She will now represent the region at state level next month.
