Community opposition has been vocal and sustained since the initial area of interest was announced, covering valuable agricultural land and rural towns.
In a letter to community members, AusNet's executive project director Stephanie McGregor said the sessions were opportunities for people to "contribute" to the project.
The final corridor for the project is expected to be announced in mid-2021, the letter states.
All sessions will run from 2pm to 7pm, at the following locations:
March 15: Newlyn Football Netball Club
March 16: Miners Rest Community Hall
March 17: Gordon Recreation Reserve
March 18: Victoria Park Pavillion, Daylesford
March 22: Joel Joel Hall
March 23: Balliang East Soldiers Memorial Hall
March 24: Myrniong Hall
March 29: Darley Park
March 30: Waubra Football Netball Club
March 31: Melton Community Hall
The letter also mentions an independent counselling service for residents through Benestar, available on 1300 360 364.
