After an outstanding season in 2019, with Acuoth secured the club's defensive player of the year award, Acuoth is back to add some strength and stability in the defensive structure.
Coach Brendan Joyce was looking forward to Acuoth being back in Ballarat when they hit the courts at the Ballarat Sports Events Centre for the first time.
"It's fantastic to have Deng back at Ballarat," Joyce said.
"His improvement with us has been awesome and we will continue to develop his game for versatility to play both 4 and 5 positions.
"He will be a major focus within our structure and he has already proven what a great defensive player he is for our club."
Joyce said having a player with such natural ability would be a bonus for the club.
"There is a lot of upside with his athleticism and natural ability. However, it is his offensive skill-set and leadership that we will be also working on coming into the season." Joyce said.
Deng Acuoth joins Zac Dunmore, Jordan Lingard, Daniel Joyce, Matt Kenyon, William Hickey, Ethan Fiegert and Will Hynes so far announced on the Miners roster. The Battle of the West Fan Day and practice game is at Ballarat Sports Events Centre on April 9.
