It's understood the female umpire had to deal with multiple on-field incidents during the match against Ocean Grove, from the Bellarine Football League, and sent a number of players off the field.
It's alleged that after the umpire reported a Melton South player, a supporter of the club hurled sexist abuse at her.
After the game, it's alleged spectators followed the umpire from the ground in a car.
