From this Friday, March 26, masks will no longer be required in retail settings in Victoria, people will be able to host up to 100 people in their home each day, and workplace caps will be removed.

The latest update from the state government, issued Tuesday morning, further eases restrictions, from 6pm on Friday.
Masks will still be required on public transport, in rideshare vehicles and taxis, and sensitive areas like hospitals and aged care facilities, a state government media release states.

People must continue to carry a mask with them at all times.
Indoor gatherings will be up to 100 people, and outdoor gatherings up to 200.
Nightclubs and other venues still restricted will be able to move to a one person per two square metre density quotient, in line with pubs and cafes, with a 75 per cent capacity cap still in place and a limit of 1000 people per space - that includes dancefloors.
Indoor and outdoor physical recreation and fitness classes will have their limits removed, and unstaffed gyms will be allowed more people, up to one person per four square metres.
The 75 per cent cap on private and public office workers will be removed, the release states - a density quotient of one person per two square metres and normal COVIDsafe measures will still apply, but workers will no longer be required to work from home.

Public sector workers will now have a a starting position of three days in a primary office location - "designed to capitalise on the productivity gains and work-life balance that can come with working remotely, while supporting the state's social and economic recovery," a release states.
The release also states AFL crowds will be allowed to increase to 75 per cent this weekend.
