Winter Sounds will feature five performances from artists Emma Donovan and the Putbacks, Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, C.W Stoneking, Freya Josephine Hollick and Jazz Party with support artists.
Director David Frazer said the five performance spaces would offer audiences a chance to be transported to a different time and place for a set of 'intimate and extraordinary' musical experiences.
Winter Sounds will bring some of Australia's best-loved performers to Daylesford and surrounding hills while drawing attention to some of the region's most beautiful and sometimes forgotten heritage buildings.
- David Frazer, Winter Sounds director
"Visiting Daylesford during winter is one of the great Australian pilgrimages, and it really is the best time of the year to enjoy this magical part of regional Victoria," he said in a statement.
"Winter Sounds will bring some of Australia's best-loved performers to Daylesford and surrounding hills while drawing attention to some of the region's most beautiful and sometimes forgotten heritage buildings.
"With this unique combination of talent and atmosphere, we're hoping to deliver a really special set of experiences for our audiences."
The performances will be held at Daylesford Uniting Church, the 100-year-old Bullarto Village Hall, Daylesford Town Hall, Glenlyon Town Hall and Palais Hepburn Theatre.
A restored 1950s train will transport music fans from central Daylesford to the Bullarto Village Hall for Cash Savage's matinee performance.
The scenic 30-minute trip will wind through parts of the Wombat State Forest and surrounding countryside to deliver punters to the venue.
Audiences can choose to purchase tickets for one or all of the five performances, while enjoying local wine and food in dedicated pop-up bars at each of the venues.
Winter Sounds is produced by the team behind the award-winning Riverboats Music Festival in Echuca
Tickets are available from April 12 from wintersounds.com.au. The events run from July 16 to 18.
