Pleading guilty to several charges at the Ballarat Magistrates' Court, Anthony Kyparissis will learn his fate in two more weeks after already serving nearly three months on remand.

Kyparissis was arrested in January after his car was intercepted at the Red Lion Hotel in Golden Point, after police nearby noticed his number plates did not match the vehicle and a baseball bat in the back seat.
A search of the vehicle revealed an extendable baton, a set of stolen number plates, a set of scales, $1696.50 cash, a bag with 3.7 grams of vegetable matter, 30 grams of Xanax tablets, and numerous ziplock bags.
Kyparissis was arrested, and while in custody, officers noticed him trying to conceal bag with a white substance in his shoe.
This was revealed to be 11g of methamphetamine, which Kyparissis said in an interview was for personal use.
He also faced several other charges for breaching orders and shop thefts.
His defence lawyer said upon release from prison in 2020, Kyparissis had not had stable accommodation in Ballarat, and had trouble finding employment during the pandemic, which led him to "turn to crime".

He has now spent 87 days in pre-sentence detention, and in that time has arranged more permanent living arrangements with family in Berwick for his release.
The court was also told Kyparissis had been jailed in 2011 for trafficking cannabis.
Magistrate Ron Saines said there was not enough time on Tuesday to complete sentencing, so Kyparissis will return to court on April 28.
