A 20-year-old has been remanded in custody after allegedly stealing a car, cash and other items and failing to appear at court.

Lincoln Beswick, from Creswick, appeared in the dock of the Ballarat Magistrates' Court on Monday for the remand hearing.
Charge sheets, obtained by The Courier, reveal Beswick allegedly stole a Volkswagen Beetle, entered a storage container with intent to steal, stole $120 cash and attempted to steal tools and bottles of coke in February.
In February 2020 he allegedly trespassed into a building with intent to steal while a person was present, stolee a Toyota Rav 4 from Ballarat North, fuel, drove as a learner without a supervisor and drove dangerously.

Beswick is charged with stealing from a car and stealing a hunting spotlight and spotters sunglasses, a dash camera, two chainsaws, property keys and a swipe access card in October 2019.
He was arrested and charged on Friday with failing to answer bail.
Defence lawyer Heidi Keighran asked the magistrate to note Beswick had ADHD, was withdrawing from cannabis and was potentially vulnerable in custody due to his size.
Beswick will return to court on Wednesday when he will make an application for bail.
