Coach Brendan Joyce said it's a quality opposition and one the Miners will have to play well against for four quarters.

"Really good team, they recruited really well, they've got four guys that played in the NBL, (a) very experienced team," he said.

"Regardless of who we play, whether they're a good team or a bad team, we'll focus on trying to take their strengths away from them and playing to our strengths.

"At this point in time, with players coming in and out, there's still a major focus on how we play."

Former NBL and NBA player and triple Olympian David Anderson is a threat.

Dillon Stith, Alister MacDonald and Igor Hadziomerovic, who have all played NBL minutes, are also players to monitor closely.

"They've got some NBL experience .... they've got some good players but so have we," Joyce said.

The Miners are fresh off an overtime loss to Bendigo, where they roared back after trailing by 23 points.

Joyce said making shots, as they did in the second half, and strong defence, would be key to a third Miners victory on Saturday.

"Your offence looks really good when you make shots. We had a lot of really good open looks ... and we just didn't knock them down," he said.

"(We struggled) right throughout the team in the first-half. We didn't shoot well from the three point line.

"We made the adjustments at half-time ... let's not forget that we kept them to just over 20 points in the second half, our defence was fantastic."
