His performance will be at the city's Her Majesty's Theatre on July 31.
It's part of a tour that will see Kelly and his band play for 24 audiences over two months as they travel to regional towns and cities across the Australian east coast.
Kelly holds a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame and has 25 studio albums, multiple film soundtracks, and two live albums to his name.
Last year Kelly released his album Forty Days, performed, recorded and posted via his socials from home in lockdown.
The 15-track album comprises songs and poems, some of which were written by other artists, and explores themes related to lockdown such as cooking, dry pubs, hope, insomnia and separation.
Some songs on the album commemorate singers and poets such as Bill Withers, John Prine and Bruce Dawe.
People can learn more about Kelly's tour via his website.
Frontier Members pre-sale will start May 18, before tickets go on sale to the general public on May 20.
