Coach Dylan Sexton told The Courier he was happy to claim a win on the road.
"They're going to be a good side Bacchus Marsh, they really fought back hard and put us under the pump," he said.
"Really good to come away from it with a win."
Sebastopol managed to keep Bacchus Marsh scoreless in the opening term, although only held a slight nine-point lead at the first break.
It carried on to lead the home side by 13 points at the final break, before allowing the Cobars to kick 2.1 to its singular point in the final term to get within a point.
It was a nervous final few minutes, Sexton said.
"The last 10 minutes were pretty tense."
"They kicked them (last quarter goals) early. They fought back pretty hard, they were good on the outside."
Despite nearly giving up the lead in the final quarter, it was his side's ability to hold their nerve and rebound from last weekend's loss that was most pleasing for Sexton.
"We probably had a poor start last week that cost us three or four goals really early," he said.
"We focused this week on coming out a bit stronger and not chasing tail all day, which we did really well."
Katie Cook was the only multiple goal kicker for the visitors, booting two majors.
Jordan Chettleburgh and Emma Broughton assisted with a goal a-piece. For the home side, Rita Azzopardi kicked three goals and was named among the better players.
Redan continued its strong start to the season with a 72-point win over Darley away from home.
A five goal opening term and a further five majors in the third quarter was the difference for the Lions, running away 14.7 (91) to 3.1 (19) winners.
In an impressive defensive display, Redan held Darley goalless in the second half after conceding three majors through the first two quarters.
Rebecca Van Oorschot booted five goals, Jess Bokma added three and Rebecca Piper claimed two in a best on ground performance.
The Devils managed their three majors through Madalyn Clarke, Kim Bessell and Darci Evans.
Carisbrook was too strong for Melton, claiming it first win of the season by 28 points.
A four goal to one behind third term broke the game open for the home side, 7.10 (52) to 3.6 (24) winners.
Greater Western Victoria Rebels Girls' star Paige Scott bagged three majors, as did Kira Gibbons.
For the visitors, Kali Joyce, Danielle Roczniak and Ashlee Wallis kicked a goal each.
