It means from tomorrow regional Victorians can leave home for more than just the five permitted reasons.
Metropolitan Melbourne however will remain in lockdown for another week.
It comes as the state recorded two new locally acquired cases overnight, taking the state's outbreak to 63.
The third case was announced late Wednesday and was a 90-year-old resident from the Maidstone Acare facility.
Acting premier James Merlino said the easing of restrictions was great news for regional Victoria.

Restaurants and cafés can reopen to a maximum of 50 customers. Retail, beauty and personal care, entertainment venues and community facilities will also open in line with density limits.
