Fans of Bluey will have to wait another two months to see their idol in the flesh after performances of Bluey's Big Play The Stage Show, scheduled at Her Majesty's Theatre next week, were postponed.
Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli will now come to Ballarat for five shows on August 2 and 3.
Under current state government COVID restrictions, only 75 people would have been allowed at Her Majesty's Theatre next week as an indoor fixed seated entertainment venue.
A spokesperson for Bluey's Big Play The Stage Show said Her Majesty's Theatre staff would be in contact with all ticket holders for the show to let them know about the new dates.
"All existing tickets will automatically transfer to the same time, same seat for the new shows," they said.
EARLIER
No decision has been made yet on whether the much-anticipated Bluey stage show will go ahead as planned next week at Her Majesty's Theatre.
The juggernaut blue heeler was scheduled to bring her family and friends to Ballarat for Bluey's Big Play The Stage Show on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The state government announcement on Wednesday of an easing of restrictions in regional areas would allow up to 50 per cent of seated capacity up to a maximum of 75 people for indoor fixed seated entertainment venues such as Her Majesty's Theatre.
The production company behind the Bluey stage show is believed to be working with Her Majesty's to try to reschedule its five Ballarat shows but could not confirm the future of the season on Wednesday.
