The body was located inside a vehicle by search and rescue officers in flood waters off Maddens Bridge Road in Glenyne about 10.40am on Friday.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, police believe it is that of missing woman Nina, who went missing from Simpson on Wednesday.

The exact circumstances surrounding the woman's death are yet to be determined but police are not treating it as suspicious.

The 20-year-old left her home address about 8.20am Wednesday and was expected to arrive at her workplace in Glenfyne about thirty minutes later, but she never arrived and hadn't been seen since.

SES Victoria had 6000 calls for help from Wednesday night - the busiest 24-hour period in its history.
