They gently reminded the Demons the standard required to challenge the top sides, winning comfortably 70-22.
Coach Jordan O'Keefe told The Courier some lapses in form is what needs to improve coming into a tough stretch of games.
"Saturday (was) a lot better," he said.
"The thing that we've been trying to address and look at has been across all six of our games that we've had, drop-aways where it's been pretty inconsistent.
"We can win a quarter significantly and then come back the next quarter, maybe only win it by a couple or potentially lose it.
"Going into games like Springbank and then in another couple of weeks after that Buninyong, we can ill-afford to be doing that sort of stuff."
Buninyong traveled to Creswick and for the second week in a row kept its opponents to under 20 goals.
The Bombers piled on 66 goals of their own while keeping the Wickers to just 15, an important percentage booster for the visitors.
Despite a clutch win over Beaufort in round nine, Dunnstown couldn't replicate that form in its 68-goal loss to Hepburn.
The Burra dominated on their home court, scoring at least 90 goals for the second time this season to win 90-22.
At Clunes, Springbank continued its good run of form, a 61-goal win giving the Tigers an average winning margin of 52.5 since returning to the court.
Rokewood-Corindhap bounced back from a loss to Buninyong in round nine to beat Gordon by 17 goals, 47-30.
It was an important win for the Grasshoppers, keeping them in touch with the top four.
Meanwhile, Gordon has slipped to 13th on the ladder with its third straight loss dating back to round five before the stoppage of play.
Newlyn dominated Ballan to record its second straight win and climb to 11th on the ladder.
The Cats were 45 goals the better on the day, 77-32 winners.
Waubra climbed to equal points with eighth placed Skipton following its 40-29 win over Carngham-Linton.
Percentage is all that is keeping the Roos out of the eight, trailing the Emus by 3.77 percent.
