The Vikings did what they needed to do against the bottom placed Westvale who's team was completely changed from the one Sebastopol smashed in the opening round of the season.
But all the same, the 4-2 result probably didn't reflect the dominance of the Sebastopol squad, with coach Corey Smith saying the first half, where the team set up a 3-0 lead was arguably the best he had seen his team play all season.
"They are a completely changed side, they brought in a lot new players and they'll take some points off teams, I've got no doubt they'll get themselves off the bottom of the ladder."
While he was happy to walk away with the win, Smith knows that the biggest test of the season awaits next weekend away to second-placed Western Eagles.
And the coach is ready for whatever their opponents dish up.
"The next one will be a massive test," he said. "But we should have a full squad to pick from. We were missing Jake Francis, also missing Stewart Maylett, so we will just get better again next week.
"The Eagles home ground will be a cauldron. They are really experienced, tough, physicals, old school football team. They'll know how to grind a result.
"The pressure will be on them due to the amount of money they spent. Anything less than promotion will be a failure for them this year, but for us it's a free hit."
Smith rated Pat Karras as the most important player on the ground on Saturday, while again heaping praise on the likes of Darby Gaffney. Kuanyjal Tuany scored twice including the sealer in the 92nd minute, while Kyran Taylor and Gaffney also got on the scoreboard.
Meanwhile, the reserves dropped points for just the second time this season, forced to settle for a 2-2 draw.
