Under 17 squad members Vincent Huf, James Van Es, Felix Fogarty, Aaron Cadman and George Stevens featured in the under 17 Vic Country team's 34-point loss to Vic Metro at GMHBA Stadium.

Josh Gibcus, Ben Hobbs, Marcus Herbert, Charlie Molan, Hamish Sinnot, Sam Butler, Sam Breuer, Jamieson Ballantyne, Kai Lohmann, Angus Bade and Josh Rentsch participated in a trial match to be selected in the final under 19 Vic Country squad.
The group will find out later this week if they've been selected.
Vic Country is scheduled to play its first AFL Under 19 Championships game against the Allies on Saturday, August 14.
Fraser Marris and Isaac Lovison donned the Sydney Swans jumper playing for the club's VFL team against the Greater Western Sydney Giants.
Marris picked up six touches and kicked a goal, Lovison collecting four disposals in the 38-point loss.
Rebels' coach David Loader told The Courier it was great to see the squad playing well at the higher level.
"It's just super positive for our group at this point in time to have so many boys that are travelling well," he said.
"There's a lot of hard work to go still, there's a long road in front of us and we want to make sure we keep making every post a winner."
