The Bulldogs remain scheduled to meet Adelaide Crows at Mars Stadium on Sunday, July 25.
Coach Luke Beveridge stated on Friday that the Bulldogs still believed they would be travelling back to Melbourne after their clash with Gold Coast Suns in Queensland on Saturday.
"I haven't heard anything different."
However, a COVID-19 outbreak and five-day lockdown in Victoria means there is no certainty around future AFL fixturing.
The future of the lockdown will almost certainly determine what shape round 19 takes.
The lockdown is scheduled to end on Tuesday night, with Premier Dan Andrews saying there was a possibility regional areas might be freed up earlier.
Western Bulldogs flew to Queensland on Thursday - earlier than expected - as a result of the outbreak, which also resulted in the Sydney Swans and GWS Giants "Battle of the Bridge" encounter to be transferred from Ballarat's Mars Stadium to Queensland.
It was to have been the second AFL match in Ballarat in as many weeks after Gold Coast defeated the Giants on Sunday.
The AFL, Western Bulldogs and City of Ballarat have an agreement which sees the Bulldogs playing two home and away matches at Mars Stadium each season.
Last year's COVID-19 outbreak and consequent extended lockdown in Victoria meant the Bulldogs did not get to Ballarat to play.
