Ambulance Victoria said paramedics were called to a machinery accident at Stoneleigh about 3.42pm on Saturday.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The child was assessed at the scene and flown to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne in critical condition.
The Royal Children's Hospital said the child was now in a 'serious but stable' condition as of Sunday morning.
