Last year's number one national draft selection played four games as a 16-year-old with Greater Western Victoria Rebels to launch his NAB League under-19 career.
Originally from South Warrnambool, Ugle-Hagan was part of the Rebels' under-16 program before relocating to Melbourne and joining the Oakleigh Chargers.
Ugle-Hagan was made to bide his time with Footscray in the VFL before being selected for his AFL debut against Sydney Swans in round 17. This will be his fourth game.
The Bulldogs go into this match, which will be played without spectators owing to COVID-19 restrictions, on top of the ladder on percentage from Geelong.
Adelaide is 16th with six wins.
This will be the third AFL home and away match played in Ballarat this season - the most ever.
The City of Ballarat has an agreement with the AFL for two Western Bulldogs fixtures each season although COVID-19 meant this did not occur last year.
The Bulldogs played Brisbane at Mars Stadium in April this season and Saturday's match-up was originally scheduled for July 24.
Ballarat hosted an additional encounter between Gold Coast Suns and Greater Western Sydney Giants early this month - relocated by the AFL as part of a shuffle of venues to meet COVID-19 restrictions.
Saturday's match starts at 12.20pm.
