The Bombers continued their stellar defensive season, keeping a ninth side under 20 goals.
They accounted for Carngham-Linton 67-17, a handy percentage boost considering Hepburn's big win.
Beaufort got back on the winners list with an important eight-goal win over Clunes.
The 39-31 win keeps the Crows a game ahead of eight-placed Gordon and chasing teams Waubra and Dunnstown outside the top eight.
Rokewood-Corindhap further cemented its spot inside the top four with an impressive 53-20 win over Creswick.
It was the least amount of goals allowed by the Grasshoppers this year and helped them gain a percentage boost.
Springbank did its top four hopes a world of good with a 56-30 win over Skipton.
The win keeps the Tigers just a game behind Learmonth and Rokewood-Corindhap.
With Bungaree and a bye to come, Springbank should expect eight points to finish the season.
It needs Rokewood-Corindhap to drop one of its games against Ballan and Clunes or Learmonth to drop both of its remaining games against Beaufort and Hepburn to sneak in, as the Lakies hold a significant percentage lead over the Tigers.
Learmonth went another step closer to securing a top four spot come the end of the season and in doing so, pushed Dunnstown down to 10th on the ladder.
The 56-35 win keeps the Lakies a game clear of fifth-placed Springbank, the only side that remains a chance of jumping into the top four.
With its poor percentage Dunnstown was pushed down to 10th, sitting behind Gordon and Waubra.
The Towners will get four points back in round 16 as they have the bye.
Their round 17 clash against Carngham-Linton therefor holds a lot of significance in their hunt for the top eight.
Waubra claimed the win it needed to keep its top eight hopes alive, five goals the better of Newlyn.
The 37-32 win takes the Roos to ninth with a percentage of 80.48.
They trail eighth-placed Gordon on 86.70 per cent.
The round 17 clash between the two looms as a classic, possibly helping to decide who finishes eighth.
