The City Edition uniforms first made their Ballarat debut in 2019 and this new design takes inspiration from Ballarat's architecture icons featuring key landmarks and buildings across the city such as the clock towers, town hall and contemporary buildings like GovHub.
The dark navy is showcased as the primary colour on the uniforms, with the bold Ballarat wording across the front designed to show a sign of togetherness after what has been a challenging eighteen months for the community in light of the current pandemic.
Sovereign Hill is behind the City Edition Uniforms. It's chief development officer Will Flamsteed said it was important to continue the initiative.
"As a community founded and focused organisation Sovereign Hill Museums Association is delighted to come together and work with other community organisations like Ballarat Basketball, who play such an important health and wellbeing role through community sport," he said.
The player issue uniforms will also be auctioned online, with proceeds going directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Miners and Rush partnerships manager Andrew Day said the club was thrilled to work in collaboration for the initiative. "We are proud as a club to continue being leaders in the community and showcase our wonderful city again this year," he said.
