While Josie and her "geek" George didn't win the $100,000 on offer during last week's finale, she said the experience was one she will remember forever.
Filming for the program took place in March, with Josie watching it from the comfort of her family home in Leeton, in NSW's Riverina, while it was on air.
Josie has been back in Leeton for the last month or so after being granted an exemption to leave Sydney for a family funeral and then deciding to extend her stay.
She said being able to share her onscreen moments with her family and friends in Leeton was a blessing.
"I loved every minute of taking part ... I was a bit hesitant going in and wondering how I would be portrayed, but I was just myself and that was what came across," Josie said.
"All in all I was pretty happy with my 'edit' - there were a few things that you could see when watching that were chopped and changed about, but I can't complain.
"I've come away with so many friends from the experience and it was a lot of fun."
Josie and George were one of the few couples on the show who had a romantic connection, but with Josie living in Sydney and George in Melbourne - the distance between them didn't help after filming wrapped up.
"We did try to give it a go after we finished filming, but it just didn't work out unfortunately," Josie said.
"We're still really good friends and I wouldn't have wanted to have gone through that experience with anyone else.
"George is a wonderful person and I'm lucky to have met him."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Josie said she remained friends with many of the other "beauties" and "geeks" saying she spoke most days with several of the cast members.
Now that the show has finished airing on screens across the country, she is also spending time getting used to being recognised.
Her social media following his growing and she was even asked to take a "selfie" in Leeton recently.
"It's a bit strange, but it's all part of the fun," Josie laughed.
"I've loved being able to learn and grow as a person through my time on the show. It was a great experience.
"I'm glad I've been here in Leeton while it's airing, it's made it all a bit easier to deal with, especially with all the media attention that we've all had."
For now Josie is firmly focused on completing her university degree and her dream of becoming a primary school teacher.
"There have been some other opportunities that have come up as a result of the show, so I'm exploring those and just seeing what happens really, you have to take a chance sometimes," Josie said.
