Ballarat fathers remained upbeat on Sunday as they celebrated the day during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Ballarat couple Natasha and Chris Garlande walked from their central Ballarat home to Sturt Street while their five-year-old daughter, Ilya, rode on her scooter.
Mr Garlande said the family normally had brunch in the CBD on a Sunday, but due to the COVID-19 restrictions, they bought a take-away coffee instead.
He said he still enjoyed the day despite the lockdown and he was spoiled with presents because he also celebrated his birthday.
Ballarat's Leigh Searle and his three-year-old son, Henry, were spotted playing hide-and-seek in Sturt Street's beautiful median strip.
He said he lived near Sturt Street and decided to go for a walk with Henry and his dog Rocky to begin his Father's Day on Sunday morning.
The father and son had a play before calling into Armstrong Street's 1816 Bakehouse for takeaway food and coffee.
"Any moment is still fun when you have a three-and-a-half-year-old," Mr Searle said.
"I think the overall message is we made the most of the day."
Mr Searle said he had been working from home and often went for a walk to a different cafe in his work breaks to support Ballarat businesses.
