Whilst it was a tough season with such inconsistencies around playing and training, Carngham-Linton made some inroads under first-year coach Lisa Strudwick.

Strudwick said it was a tough season with limited games, however, was glad to be back.
"It was awesome to be back," she said.
"The girls improved every time they hit the court but we didn't get enough court time.
"There was a lot of new people to the club, including myself, so I think the bonds and the friendships were built ... hopefully next year (we're) able to win a few more games."
The Saints opened with a tough schedule, facing eventual top four sides Hepburn and Rokewood-Corindhap and fellow finalist Beaufort in the opening three rounds.
As was the case for a lot of sides outside the top eight, they were handed heavy defeats, which seemed to affect them in a winnable clash with Creswick.
They went down 51-28, a disappointing result in the Saints first strong chance at a win.
The loss seemed to spur Carngham-Linton into gear, however, as it rebounded to beat Ballan 50-39 the following week.
The victory lit a fire in the Saints over the second-half of the season and while it did not lead to another win, they were competitive against some quality opposition.
Aside from big defeats to Skipton and Buninyong, Carngham-Linton did not lose by any more than 12 goals following the Ballan win.
The stretch included a tight seven-goal loss to Bungaree and 12-goal loss to eventual finalist Dunnstown.
Strudwick said the side began to gel.
"They committed to training and wanting to improve and as long as they were dynamic on court they did the very best they could," she said.
