On August 26, the league provided three scenarios for possible finals series depending on when play was able to resume.

Scenario A and B are unable to proceed, but scenario C is still a possibility.
The league has transitioned to a three-week, six-team finals series.
If games are able to be played by September 18, this scenario will be played out as planned.
If play can't return by the 18th and there is two weeks remaining until the October 2 cut-off date, the executive will decide whether competitions will move to a top four and play preliminary finals or straight to a final two.
Harcourt and Trentham sit first and second on the ladder in both the senior and reserves football grades.
In the A Grade netball, Avoca and Harcourt sit first and second on the ladder, with 10-0 and 8-2 records respectively.
