V/Line confirmed late Thursday a driver took a test Wednesday and had been isolating, but had been working between Saturday and Tuesday with no symptoms.
An operations depot at Southern Cross Station he attended on Monday and Tuesday was evacuated on Thursday and has been deep-cleaned, as well as Traralgon station, where the driver spent time in a recreation room on Monday.
The Southern Cross depot, as well as all trains, are regularly cleaned and sanitised, according to V/Line.
All staff who are close contacts have been contacted and will be required to isolate until they receive a negative test result.
