Full train services will resume on V/Line's busiest lines from Monday including the those services beyond Ballarat to Ararat and Maryborough.
Coaches had replaced long-distance services on the weekend after shorter runs like Ballarat resumed on Friday due to hundreds of frontline V/Line staff continue to isolate to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Full V/Line train services will operate to timetable for all services on all lines from first service on Monday, 27 September.
Train services will operate as timetabled between on the Ballarat line to and from Southern Cross to Wendouree/Ararat/Maryborough.
There are planned service changes on some lines and V/Line encourages passengers to check our website to plan their journey.
Coaches are replacing Echuca Line trains between Echuca and Bendigo until Sunday, 31 October due to Bendigo and Echuca Line Upgrade works.
V/line also issued an apology to passengers who were making permitted journeys over the last two weeks for the disruption and thanked them for their continued patience.
Eight positive tests among drivers and operational staff meant that around 300 V/Line operational staff had to isolate to keep everyone safe, and as a result disruptions will continue for the coming days.
V/Line and the Department of Transport are working closely with the Department of Health on a daily basis as contact tracing continues and to support V/Line staff, and we are exercising an abundance of caution in the interest of our crews and passengers.
