The five-year-old made it four from four in launching preparations in racing away with the listed $160,000 Testa Rossa Stakes, 1300m, at Sandown Hillside on Saturday.
As impressive as she was, the Ballarat-based Alexander was not always confident in the run.
He said he was not feeling good at the 200m. "I felt like not today."
However, after another 100m Alexander admitted to thinking she might sprout wings.
"She knows exactly where the line is. It's a very good return.
"We've never had a horse with a turn of foot like she has," he said.
Alexander said Chaillot looked on course for another good preparation.
He is considering following the same program as last season with Chaillot, with the group 3 Ladies' Day Vase, 1600m, at Caulfield, followed a week later by the group 1 Empire Rose, 1600m, at Flemington on the first day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
She ran third and fourth respectively in those features last year.
Alexander said given how well Chaillot raced so well fresh, he might have to rethink that plan.
The daughter of Testa Rossa has five wins in nine race starts for $394,000.
THE stable of CIARON Maher and David Eustace produced a double at Sandown.
Floating Artist ($2.25 favourite) won The Big Screen Company Handicap, 1800m, and Ballarat-based Thought Of That ($3.60) the Evergreen Turf Handicap, 1800m.
